Hercules wants to move out of your home office and into your living area with the launch of some "home friendly" multimedia speakers - the XPS Lounge 2.0 and 2.1 series.
The larger-than-average satellites feature a port located on the front face to claim an optimised medium range.
The wooden subwoofer of the XPS 2.1 Lounge kit promises "faithful and deep" reproduction of bass tones, thanks to the Pass Band technology, which diffuses all low-range frequencies.
The systems includes a wired remote control which is designed to house and connect an iPod, Zune or any other MP3 player – via a line in connector.
As well bass and volume controls and an on/off switch the remote features a headset connector, a microphone connector and the line in switch.
The Hercules XPS 2.1 Lounge kit boasts a total 32 watt RMS output (64 watt peak power) - 18 watts for the subwoofer and 2 x 7 watt for the satellites).
The XPS 2.1 Lounge will be available in October for around £39.99 and the XPS 2.0 Lounge will be available in November for £19.99.
