It looks like Fitbit is working on a successor to the Fitbit Versa smartwatch that launched last year. But it might not be much of an update.

TechnoBuffalo has published leaked renders for a so-called Fitbit Versa 2. It looks similar to the first-generation model and retains some of that watch's best features, too, including water resistance up to 50M and a heart-rate sensor on the back. In fact, it seems to be identical to the original Fitbit - except this yet-to-be-announced version has a few more exciting colours for us to drool over.

The Fitbit Versa 2 will apparently be available in the following shades: Silver, Rose Pink, Purple, and Cyan Blue. Silver looks like the Silver Aluminum version of the Versa we already know and love, only it has a white band instead of a gray one. The most noteworthy colours here are Rose Pink, Purple, and Cyan Blue.

As for any spec changes, we're not entirely sure what those are yet. TechnoBuffalo even said it doesn’t "expect major improvements over the original Versa".

The first Fitbit Versa didn't have GPS or Fitbit Pay (although a special edition Versa had the latter). If we had to dream, the Versa 2 should get those features, but there's no indication of that at this point. Right now, unfortunately, it looks like we should only expect new colours.
