Huawei's Honor brand is releasing a new smartwatch in the UK. It's called the Honor Watch Magic.

The Honor Watch Magic is the first of a new range from the company. It comes with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display, which can deliver 326ppi pixel density, has a stainless steel build, and is just 9.8mm thick. The battery comes in at just 178mAh and supposedly should last about a week. The watch also has a heart rate monitor, advanced positioning data to track runs, and support for Huawei Pay.

Similar to Huawei’s Watch GT, the Honor Watch Magic runs on the Light OS platform. While it is smaller than the Watch GT, it should be a great fit for those looking for a new smartwatch without breaking their banks. It’s available in Lava Black and Moonlight Silver colours and works with a variety of QuickFit Straps. If any of this interests you, the Honor Watch Magic will start at £180 in the UK.

Carphone Warehouse, Amazon, and other retailers are offering a free version of the Honor Watch Magic with a purchase of the new Honor View 20 (starts at £499.99). As the first phone outside of China with a 'hole-punch' front-facing camera, it's easy to judge this phone on this aspect alone. But the Honor V20 is so much more, including a great design and build and a large edge-to-edge display.

Check out our review of the Honor View 20. We hope to bring you a review of the Honor Watch Magic when we get our hands on it. The smartwatch was released in China in October 2018, but it's now launching in Europe (for €179) and in the UK. It will be available to buy from 23 January.
