Lego and Nintendo are collaborating again, after the Super Mario sets released recently.

A full brick version of Nintendo's first console, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), will be available from 1 August, priced at £209.99 in the UK.

The epic Lego set will have a full-size recreation of the console, cartridge and controller, plus a mocked-up 80s style CRT TV with a scene from Super Mario Bros on the screen.

You can also put the Mario figure from the Super Mario Starter Course on top of the TV in a special slot, and he'll react to on-screen enemies.

The Lego NES is certainly be an epic build, with 2,646 pieces and is rated as 18+ set - much like the recent Micky and Minie mouse collab with Disney. The box of the NES is designed to reflect the style of the original console, too.

“Super Mario has been a cherished figure in the gaming world for over thirty years now," said the creative lead in charge of the new set, Maarten Simons.

"Many adults still fondly remember that first time they saw Mario leap across the small screen, even if the graphics were a lot simpler than they are today.

"With the Lego Nintendo Entertainment System, we’re letting them truly indulge in that nostalgia, recreating one of the most-loved consoles of all time so they can see the Super Mario from their childhoods once again - and even to share the experience of gaming in the 1980s with their own children."
