Asus claims to have crafted the world's most powerful gaming tablet that's able to transform into a full-blown gaming machine.

The Asus ROG Flow Z13, as it's known, is a variation of the Flow X13, but instead of a small portable gaming laptop, the Z13 is a capable tablet instead.

In true ROG fashion, it's compact and lightweight at 1.1kg and 12mm thin, crafted from a CNC-milled chassis that houses some impressive specs for a tablet.

It boasts a choice of the latest and great Intel processors, 16GB 5200MHz DDR5 RAM, a PCIe Gen 4 NVMe drive with an easy-access housing (for future upgrades) and an impressive Nvidia RTX graphics card.

Internally it's built with a large vapour chamber to help it run cool and quiet as standard with a silent mode. As long as CPU and GPU are below 50 degrees then no fans will spin. That cooling is helped along by liquid metal CPU cooling and a design that ensures the fans always have access to breathe.

The ROG Flow Z13 comes with two screen options, both in 16:10 format. You'll be able to choose from a 4K 60 Hz display with 85% DCI-P3 coverage, or a Full HD 120 Hz screen with 100% sRGB coverage.

Design-wise the ROG Flow Z13 is intriguing in a few different ways. It has a see-through rear panel that gives you a view of the motherboard, topped off with some RGB lighting. The rear also has a built-in kickstand with a range of 170-degrees. It won't lie flat though, as the design is built to prevent you from blocking the airflow and choking the internals.

It comes bundled with a keyboard so you can use it as a laptop, there's also an XG mobile eGPU as there was with the Flow X13 except that's now coming with a new AMD mobile GPU.

So you can use it as a conveniently portable tablet, then dock it with the eGPU and enjoy full gaming glory with an external monitor and full-blown gaming peripherals. The best of all worlds in one tiny package.
