Every year on the Sunday before E3 - the world's largest gaming convention - kicks off proper, Bethesda brings the party to Los Angeles and shows off its latest titles. For 2019, that meant delivering the news just hours after Xbox teased its next-gen console and put Keanu Reeves on stage. Tough act to follow, eh?

Bethesda has had a rollercoaster couple of years when it comes to launches: there was the ultra-flop of Fallout 76; while the fan excitement for The Elder Scrolls 6 is palpable - but the latter wasn't shown in any greater detail at its E3 2019 conference. We were, however, treated to some brand new franchises, and who doesn't love brand new characters and worlds to explore? Here's the best of what's coming...

Bethesda at E3 2019: What was launched?

As well as the following, Fallout 76 is finally getting the update every player has been waiting for. NPCs are coming to the game in the Wastelanders expansion later this year.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

From the creators of The Evil Within comes a new action adventure game, set in a rather spooky-looking Tokyo. It's not the horror fest of TEW, but there's certainly something eerie about those vanishing bodies. Otherwise, well, we don't know much about this forthcoming title. But it does look like it could be exciting.

Deathloop

From the team behind Dishonored, Deathloop is another teaser that we don't know much about. Its dual protagonist clash looks to be the unique selling point, so whether that'll mean two leads through the game or something else we'll have to wait and see. The shooting looks to tace precedence over the stealth in this new adventure too.

Doom Eternal

The sequel to the surprise Doom relaunch was already known, but now we know when it'll be arriving: in November. Expect more of the madness and head-splitting mayhem, with new multi-player modes weapons to keep fans excited.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood

We've loved the recent Wolfenstein titles - with New Order and The New Colossus impressing - and the game is set to return on 26 July with Youngblood, a co-op shooter in which you play as Blazkowicz's daughters. It looks every bit as badass as the others.

Commander Keen

Bethesda has already learnt the potential of mobile gaming (Fallout Shelter commanding hours of attention and millions of players) and now it's reviving 80s cartoon Commander Keen for iOS and Android. It's a side-crolling puzzle game that we'll see from summer - presumably as a free-to-play title.
