ZTE Axon 30 5G review: Hey Samsung, this is how to do an under-display camera

The key feature here is the under-display camera -- the most impressive implementation of one we've seen to date. Even with bright backgrounds it's subtle. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Often dark backgrounds will make you forget entirely that there's even a camera top and center of the device. That really is a job well done. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Impressive as the camera is, ZTE's MyOS 11 software isn't the most adept -- we've had issues with notifications some of the time, which is a shame. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Despite being a large device, the Axon doesn't have a super-long-lasting battery (around 16hrs). It's quick to top-up, though, thanks to 65W charging speeds. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
The four rear cameras don't match up to the impressive under-display selfie camera, with average results and excess lenses in play here. Less would be more. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
As under-display cameras go, there's no better. But other aspects of the Axon 30 5G just don't quite elevate it to maximum status level. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
