OnePlus Nord CE 2 review: Strong core?

The CE 2 (pictured right) is designed to be a cheaper alternative to the Nord 2, and so replaces glass and a metal camera housing with plastic. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Taking a leaf from Oppo's design book, the camera unit curves up out of the body in a completely seamless fashion. It's translucent too, which is unique. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
OnePlus didn't skimp on the screen, using a 90Hz-capable 6.43-inch display with HDR10+ support. It's bright, contrast-full (a bit too much) and vibrant. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
The Nord 2 was OnePlus' first without a Snapdragon processor. The CE 2 follows suit and features the Dimensity 900 5G processor inside. It's perfectly capable. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Along with microSD expansion and dual SIM support, you also get a 3.5mm port for audio if you've not got Bluetooth headphones to use. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
While it is technically three cameras, the third is only a low resolution macro lens. The other two are fairly average, with a 64MP primary and 8MP ultra-wide. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Overall the CE 2 is about as complete a package as you could expect at this price point. Thing is, there's so much competition it struggles to stand out. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
