Vodafone UK plans to offer an extra 4GB of data a month to existing customers and newbies signing up before the end of October. This comes the day before Apple announces it's iPhone 5S, which would suggest we can expect 4G speeds on the fruit giant's latest handset.

The 4GBonus means the 4GB of extra data will be added to Vodafone Red 4G-ready plans until they expire. New SIM-only, 12 or 24-month plans, with a 4G-ready handset, will get three months unlimited UK data, then double the amount of data available on standard Vodafone Red plans plus an extra 4GB a month for the length of their contract.

With the new Sony Xperia Z1 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 making waves at IFA, this kind of big and fast data contract is just what new handsets need to allow users to unlock their full potential.

Vodafone's 4G is currently available in London and is coming to Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield on 28 September. Vodafone aims for 98 per cent coverage of the UK by 2015.
