Vodafone has been suffering outage issues, as some who use the network will undoubtedly already be aware. There has been temporary loss of voice, sms and Internet services for many customers since last last night (Sunday 27 February) and a burglary is to blame.
The company has suffered a break-in at one of its technical facilities which resulted in damage to vital equipment, as stated on its own Vodafone News site: "We are working quickly to restore these and will be back to normal as soon as we can," the team says.
It is not believed that customer data is at risk, but no further details on the burglary or suspects has yet emerged. Nor do we know which technical facility was invaded. But Vodafone is keeping users informed via its Twitter account: "@VodafoneUK For those of you asking about the network today, please see here for an update: http://goo.gl/EqF8n ^JH"
