Vodafone has announced that it will be stocking the Google Nexus S worldwide, and what's more there are reports aplenty of a brand spanking new white version that is sure to really kick fanboys in the teeth.

Patrick Chomet, Vodafone’s Group Director of Terminals, said: “It’s great news that our customers will very soon be able to get Google’s Nexus S direct through our stores. At Vodafone we work closely with our partners across the industry to offer our customers a leading smartphone range that includes the latest innovations in product and user experience.”

The Google Nexus S (which is manufactured for the Big G by Samsung) first became available just before Christmas, but only as an unlocked version from The Carphone Warehouse or Best Buy.

Now it seems that Vodafone will be the first network to stock the Gingerbread handset and offer it subsidised on contract.

The white Nexus S will be able to plump itself on the top of the white (iPhone 4-less) smartphone pile. Although the pics we've seen so far only show a white back plate - we're hoping the front is all-white as well (Barrymore reference anyone?).

There are no date or price details as of yet, but we'll do our best to pester our Vodafone contacts to get all the juicy details, so be sure to check back later for updates.
