Toshiba promise 2Gb 0.85in drive by end of month at CES
Toshiba has announced that it's 2GB 0.85in hard drive suitable for mobile phones and other handheld devices will be available by the end of the month.
The company's European Storage Device Division has even gone as far as announcing some concept solutions that we can expect to see the drive in eventually in the future.
These include everything from Wristwatch PDAs to intelligent spectacles to help football referees make tough decisions.
What the announcement doesn't cover however is the use of the drive in mobile phones or MP3 players.
However with the announcement strangely coinciding with Motorola's mobile iTunes preview at CES, will we see a Motorola mobile phone powered by a Toshiba drive in the next 6 months? Lets wait and see.
