Sony Ericsson has announced the launch of the W715 Walkman phone that as well as the usual music focus, offers navigation services through a dedicated key.
Due to launch in the UK on Vodafone, the aGPS-enabled W715 Walkman will offer turn-by-turn pedestrian or driving navigation available using Vodafone Find&Go, as well as location-based services such as search.
The metal-finished W715 gets the same sound gubbins as the W980 Walkman phone, as well as the usual SE suspects such as TrackID, SensMe and Shake Control.
Other specs of note for the new slider include a 240 x 320 pixel 2.4-inch screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, DLNA certification, Bluetooth auto-rotation, Google Maps for Mobile, FM radio and support for up to a 4GB memory card.
Vital statistics-wise, it weighs 98 grams, measures 95 x 47.5 x 14.3mm offers 10 hours of talktime, 400 hours standby, with 20 hours claimed for music playback.
The W715 will be available in "galactic" black and "luxury" silver with country availability and pricing to be announced this quarter.
