Sony Ericsson has announced a new Cyber-shot handset at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The new "affordable" C510 Cyber-shot will feature a 3.2-megapixel camera and Smile Shutter technology that detects a person's smile and immediately takes the photo.

Other photo features include Face Detection, Auto-rotation, and Snapfish by HP pre-installed so users can send print orders from the phone to Snapfish and have quality photo prints delivered to their homes.

YouTube enabled, would-be photographers will also get Photo Fix that adjusts light balance, brightness and contrast simultaneously.

The company has also announced the company's C905 Cyber-shot handset will be upgraded with the new software features.

Consumers who already own a C905 Cyber-shot phone can easily download the new applications from mid-February 2009.

The C510 Cyber-shot supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and UMTS/HSPA 850/1900/2100. C510 Cyber-shot will be available in selected markets from Q1in the colours Future Black and Radiation Silver.
