Sony Ericsson S500 announced in the States

Sony Ericsson today announced a new phone born out of their "design teams' love for the materials and colours found in the natural world". The Sony Ericsson S500 is a 14mm slim slider offering "colour accents and changing desktop themes".
Perfect for the more sensitive among us, you can set the in-phone themes and external light effects to change when you want - with the seasons, as day turns to night or when the weekend begins.
"It's the small details that set these phones apart", explained Najmi Jarwala, president, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications (USA) Inc. "Our designers have taken inspiration from nature to produce phones that are beautiful and alive with energy. They appeal to those that want to celebrate their individuality and express themselves through their choice of phone."
Available in either "Mysterious Green" or "Spring Yellow" it seems those SE designers may have been spending a leeetle too much time outdoors – or perhaps not enough.
The S500 will be in available in America from Q3 2007, no word yet on European availability.
