Last month we reported on a script that allowed owners of the Sony Ericsson w800i to make their phone compatible with iTunes.

This month a group called The Office Maven has gone one-step further and created an application that will allow you to synchronize the music and videos you have stored in iTunes with your Sony Ericsson Walkman phone or virtually any other music player that can be accessed as a Mass Storage Device.

Called iWalkman, the application is a Windows-based add-in utility for iTunes that allows you to even convert tracks into MPEG or AAC format before copying them to the phone.

The registered version includes no nag screens or capability limits, and entitles you to free technical support via a web-based support page and free incremental program updates for a period of 1 year.

The software also allows you to specify how much of the disk space available on your MSD you want to use for music and video storage as well as organise your music by a multitude of categories such as playlist, genre, artist, album, artist & album, year, rating, composer, and grouping.

The application is free and can be found at http://www.i-walkman.com/
