Samsung has officially revealed its Galaxy S10 range of smartphones, following months and months of rumours. Are there any surprises?

Well, there are three devices available for pre-order from 20 February comprising the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+, though there will be a fourth device - the Galaxy S10 5G - coming out in early summer.

The Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ range from 5.8-inches to 6.4-inches in terms of screen size and they all feature a punch hole front camera, like the Honor View 20 and as we saw in leaks. The S10+ has a dual front camera, while the S10 and S10e have singular.

On the rear, there is a triple camera on the S10 and S10+, made up of a 16-megapixel ultra wide lens, a Dual Pixel 12-megapixel wide lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The S10e has a dual rear camera, missing out on that third telephoto lens so it doesn't offer optical zoom.

Samsung's new Dynamic AMOLED display is on all three Galaxy S10 devices, though the S10e has a flat display rather than dual-edged and it has a Full HD+ resolution instead of Quad HD+. The S10 and S10+ both have an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, while the S10e has a fingerprint sensor on the side.

All three devices offer the same processor - an octa-core 8nm chipset - though it hasn't been specified which one it is. It is presumed to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 for the US and the Exynos 9820 for Europe. The S10e comes in two variants including a 6GB of RAM model with 128GB of storage and an 8GB of RAM model with 256GB of storage.

The Galaxy S10 also comes in two variants, both with 8GB of RAM. There is the option of 128GB of storage or 512GB. The S10+ meanwhile, is available in three models. The first two are the same as the S10, but the third model has 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. All have microSD storage expansion up to 512GB.

The Galaxy S10e has a 3100mAh battery, the S10 has a 3400mAh battery and the S10+ has a 4100mAh battery. They all support wireless charging and reverse charging in feature call PowerShare and they are all charged via USB Type-C. All three also offer a 3.5mm headphone jack and they are all IP68 rated.

The Samsung Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will go on sale on 8 March, with prices ranging from £669 to £1399. Four colours are available across the three handsets including Prism Green, Prism Blue, Prism White and Prism Black, though the 512GB and 1TB S10+ models also come in two ceramic options and the S10e comes in Canary Yellow.

Those who pre-order any of the three devices before 8 March will get a free pair of Samsung's new Galaxy Buds included.

ee.co.uk - PAY MONTHLY PHONES The Samsung Galaxy S10+ is now available on EE who have been awarded the UK’s best network for the fifth year running.
