The rumoured Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime could be delivering its upgraded specs, including Quad HD screen, as soon as this June.

With LG expected to reveal its G3 later this year it looks like Samsung is planning to upgrade its recently released Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 Prime, as the rumour mill is calling it, should be announced in June according to South Korean newspaper Asia Today. It claims industry sources confirmed the date.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime should have some impressive specs. The 5.5-inch display is listed with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and it's powered by a quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with 3GB of RAM. Other specs include an Adreno 420 GPU, 16-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel front facing snapper, 32GB storage and Android 4.4.

The rumour mill is also suggesting there will be two versions of the S5 Prime. One will be released with South Korean spec featuring Sammy's 2.1GHz octa-core Exynos 5430 chipset. This second model will likely be a Korea-only release.
