Samsung Galaxy S II: 3 million pre-orders and counting

The Samsung Galaxy S II is making quite an impression on planet earth. Not only did it earn the coveted Pocket-lint "Hot Product" stamp by scoring 9 out of 10 in our review, its makers have now claimed that there have been a whopping 3 million pre-orders worldwide.
That number includes the 120,000 units that it shifted on South Korean launch day, plus the unspecified numbers it has sold already in the few countries that it is already available in (including here in Blighty). It's going to be available in more than 120 countries eventually.
In case you didn't know, the Galaxy S II is an absolute beast of a handset. Not only is it packing a 1.2GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, with 1GB of RAM and a 800x480 Super AMOLED display, it also runs Android 2.3 complete with Samsung's TouchWiz UI 4.0.
Plus, there's an 8-megapixel camera on the rear, with 1080p video recording prowess and a 2-megapixel one on the front for high-quality video calling.
It's possibly the number one Android handset available right now.
We love it, and 3 million people can't be wrong....right?
