Panasonic has its fingers in all of the tech pies at the moment it seems.

Fresh from the unveiling of its Jungle gaming handheld the Japanese electronics giant has finally let its Lumix smartphone see the light of day, following speculation of its existence last month.

And whilst the CEATEC showcase gave a glimpse of the handset, it was a fairly placid unveiling as the display models were hidden away behind some plexiglass.

Still, the Lumix website has since been updated, showing that it is a slider device (a clamshell was rumoured) and that there are plenty of colour options available. Well, four to be precise - blue, pink, gold and black.

You will need a good grasp of Japanese to navigate the site though. We did manage to decipher that the screen is a 3.3-inch VGA LCD and the Lumix Phone measures 116 x 52 x 17.7mm, however.

Engadget also managed to grab some footage of the Lumix official launch video, which shows off the impressive screen real estate in action as well as the advanced camera features.

There's no news yet as to when the Lumix Phone will launch but, as always, be sure to check back on Pocket-lint for updates.
