O2 recently sweetened the deal a little on its O2 Refresh plans, now offering free next day delivery on your shiny new smartphone. Not only will it deliver next day, but you can order up to 10pm.

That means you can stumble home from drinks after work, decide you want that fancy phone your pal was showing you and place your order. Of course, we'd always recommend you order when sober, but that's half the fun of impulse buys.

O2 Refresh allows a more flexible approach to smartphone contracts, splitting the device and the tariff into separate pots. The idea is to let you upgrade your handset when you want to, rather than making you wait until the end of your contract period.

That means, for example, that if you're on O2 Refresh at the moment and you're eager to get your hands on the iPhone 6 at launch - or not wait another 6 months - then you'll be able to do so.

O2 estimates that offering ordering until 10pm will result in 3000 customers a week being able to get their phone the following day, rather than missing the deadline and be left twiddling their thumbs waiting for delivery.
