O2 will be stocking the Samsung Galaxy S II when it launches in May, the operator has confirmed.

Hitting the UK on 1 May, as confirmed by Samsung, the tech-crammed Android smartphone will be available on the network from day one. However, there'll be competition from both Three and Vodafone, who have both already announced that they are taking the handset too.

In addition, Dialtosave is currently listing the Samsung Galaxy S II as available to pre-order from £27.45 per month, ahead of its arrival.

The Samsung Galaxy S II sports a 1.2GHz processor and run Android 2.3. It is the first handset to offer Samsung’s Super AMOLED Plus screen technology, which is claimed to be the largest, brightest and most colourful screen available on any of the company's portfolio of devices.
