Nokia has announced that it will be bringing its recently announced AT&T Nokia Surge to the UK under the guise of the 6760 slide,

The new handset, first announced in the US earlier in the month will have a messaging-optimised focus and come with a QWERTY keypad, along with integration for just about every social network around.

Facebook, MySpace and Twitter are named, and there's also email functionality for Ovi Mail, Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Windows Live Hotmail, along with "thousands of other email providers". Only the email address and password are needed, and push-email is available too.

Instant messaging on Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger are also present, along with an A-GPS module. There's a 2.4-inch display, and 3.2-megapixel camera, along with 2GB of SD card storage included. There aren't any more specs for now, but we do know that the 6760 slide will be available in Q3 and cost 200 euros unlocked.

More as we get it.

Update: More as promised. It'll be arriving in October, and will be available from Carphone Warehouse.
