The Carphone Warehouse has confirmed to Pocket-lint that the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic handset to be offered in conjunction with the "Comes With Music" service will be offered SIM-free.

To be sold on a handset-only Pay-As-You-Go basis, UK consumers will be able to buy the phone for the unlimited music access, and use their existing SIM card in it.

As we've reported, Comes With Music gives people a year of unlimited access to the entire Nokia Music Store catalogue with the ability to keep all downloaded tracks after the year is over.

What is still unknown is the cost of the handset, with both Nokia and the Carphone Warehouse keeping quiet on the topic. More information is due to be announced at the start of October.
