The Nokia 9 PureView phone, with its penta-lens camera set-up, has been talked about for much of 2018 but has so far proved elusive.
A few false dawns have come and go, when it comes to an official announcement, but new clues have emerged to an unveiling date just around the corner.
Nokia is allegedly hosting an event in Dubai on 5 December where it is believed to be revealing the global version of the Nokia X7 - already out in China. In addition, MySmartPrice claims that there will be a second handset launched at the same briefing: the long-awaited Nokia 9.
In addition, as well as recently released rendered images based on CAD designs, renders of cases for the handset have leaked online.
Posted on SlashLeaks by contributor Dimitri12, the cases show the exact same penta-lens configuration as other previous leaked pictures of the handset.
They also show a hole at the top left of the case, which some guess to be for a 3.5mm headphone jack. Others claim it's just for one of the microphones and that Nokia will dispense with a headphone port, like many of its peers.
Either way, we'd just like to see the actual phone. It's certainly taken its sweet merry while. And if the 5 December date turns out to be true we can finally put all these rumours and speculation to bed.
