Nokia's netbook experiment, the Booklet 3G, is now available to consumers in the UK from Nokia's online shop.

The pricey ultra-portable offers a 10.1-inch high def glass display, Windows 7 Starter and the claim of up to 12 hours battery life in a tidy, aluminium finished body.

Boasting Intel's 1.6GHz Z530 Atom processor, specs come in with 1GB RAM and a 120GB hard drive.

Features include HDMI, a webcam, A-GPS, Ovi Maps, direct access to Nokia's Ovi Suite, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity via SIM.

The Booklet 3G went on sale in the States last year for $599 - which converts to around £380 - making the £649 price tag Nokia has slapped on its netbook here in the UK a little painful.
