Motorola has today announced a new qwerty based smartphone called the Q. Supposedly the world's thinnest, lightest QWERTY phone.
The Q uses Microsoft's Windows Mobile 5.0 and will support Exchange 2003 out of the box. It is also optimized for a variety of third party email solutions for the business user.
Motorola is also promising a design fifty percent thinner than its top competitors and the whole unit is based on Motorola's renown RAZR-thin design including electro-luminescent keys and a compact “antenna-inside” shape.
The Moto Q also hosts a large, vibrant, colour screen, ‘Net surfing capabilities, and a 1.3 mega pixel camera with flash.
The smartphone will also feature a speakerphone for conference calls, voice-activated dialing, and Bluetooth.
The Moto Q is expected to be available in Q1 2006.
