LG has officially announced the LG-KS20 smartphone, shown at IFA, for the European market, although no info on UK pricing or operators has yet been revealed.

What will be LG's first Windows Mobile-powered device in Europe offers Windows Mobile 6 and fast HSDPA connectivity to gives users the full benefit of mobile internet, including downloading music, video clips as well as push e-mail, all at a 3.6Mbps.

The high speed capability also makes video calls possible, taking advantage of the phone's second, user-facing camera.

12.8mm thick, it boasts a 2.8-inch screen with touch input interface as well as features such as handwriting recognition, Wi-Fi connectivity, 128MB internal memory, support for MicroSD external memory and Bluetooth 2.0.

The LG-KS20 will be available from October this year.
