LG Mobile has announced the launch of its latest music phone, the LG U400, exclusively on the 3 network.

Available in the UK in black the slim-line, 3G slider also has an external scroll wheel which allows easy navigation through a multitude of cutting–edge features.

Once tracks are downloaded over-the-air via 3's music download service, users will be able to stream their favourite tunes through to wireless stereo headphones or simply play out over the stereo speaker which automatically pauses music for incoming calls.

In conjunction with the launch of the U400, LG Mobile have partnered with scratch DJ experts DMC to offer exclusive preloaded content to LG U400 enthusiasts. Ten exclusive scratch ringtones are included on the handset, covering all music genres from classical through to samba and hip hop through to jazz.

The U400 also features a 2 megapixel camera with flash, person to person video calling, Quad band connectivity, a QVGA 2.0-inch colour 262k TFT and the promise of 232min talktime and 335hr standby time on a single charge.

3 is hoping customers will be keen to use the phone to access it music download service which is currently second only to iTunes for digital music sales in the UK.
