LG continues to expand its G4 product line with the LG G4 Beat, a smartphone that retains a lot of the style and features of the company's flagship device, but drops some of the spec to fit in at a mid-range price point.
The LG G4 Beat sports an octa-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 1.5GB of RAM and is 4G (LTE)-enabled to make it a decent option in that category.
The screen is a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS LCD display, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and the rear camera is 8-megapixels (strangely, 13-megapixels in Latin America only). The front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel snapper.
There is a 2,300mAh battery powering the device, which runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The phone measures 142.7 x 72.6 x 9.85mm so it's actually a tad smaller than the conventional G4. And it weighs less too, coming in at 139g.
The LG G4 Beat will be available in select markets in Europe and Latin America from later this month, including France and Germany, before getting a larger roll out globally.
Pricing is not available, but it will be available in several colours, including metallic silver, ceramic white and shiny gold.
