An image (albeit blurry) and specs of an LG phone have emerged with what’s clearly a slide-out Qwerty keyboard.

The phone is said to be the LG LS860, which is being referred to within LG’s inner circle as the “Cayenne”, and sports a 5-row Qwerty keyboard.

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an LG sliding Qwerty device, with it now concentrating on the more fashionable touchscreen models, though the design used to be a mainstay in the Korean manufacturer’s portfolio – remember the LG KS360

The specs are few and far between, but what we can decipher is that it will run on Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich and will house a 4-inch WVGA touch display.

Powering proceedings is said to be a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and will offer 4G LTE support, so expect the phone to be US bound, if at all, before we see it this side of the pond.

Pocket-lint for one would like to see some more Qwerty keyboard devices, especially after HTC effectively said that they were distancing themselves from the form factor.
