There's some new word on the HTC M8, and it's all about the user-experience software that will supposedly ship with the flagship handset.

We first learned in July that HTC was already planning its new flagship, going under the codename of M8. It follows a sequential numbering system from M7 - codename for the HTC One - but we've yet to see any clue as to what this next-generation device will offer. Until today, that is.

Notable leakster @evleaks has claimed the HTC M8 will be the first Sense 6.0 handset. HTC Sense is a software suite developed by HTC, and it's used on the company's Android-based devices. The most recent version of Sense is 5.5. Announced in September 2013 for the HTC One Max, it offers improvements from the previous edition of Sense like the ability to turn off the Blinkfeed.

Since there isn't much else known about the HTC M8, we've done some considerable thinking about where HTC might take its next flagship. We believe the next HTC One (M8) will launch around spring 2014, close to Mobile World Congress 2014. That's just speculation, of course.
