The HTC One will be receiving an update to Sense 5.5, bringing with it a range of tweaks and updates.

HTC Sense 5.5 debuted on the HTC One max, HTC's 5.9-inch phablet, but the software is due to come to the older, original, HTC One sometime soon.

HTC wouldn't be drawn on an exact timescale for the launch, but confirmed to Pocket-lint that it was definitely in the pipeline.

The HTC One is currently undergoing updates, with some global users receiving the Android 4.3 update on their devices, bringing a few Sense tweaks in the process. Others, however, are still on Android 4.2.2.

Sense 5.5 makes a number of changes, especially to the Gallery and the BlinkFeed and the results are very good, bringing lots of refinement to a user interface that's already received a lot of praise.

We've been through HTC Sense 5.5 on the HTC One max to see exactly what the changes are.
