Yet another version of the HTC J Butterfly has been announced, this time for more parts of Asia, outside of Japan.

Those who have been following the ins and outs of recent launches at HTC will know that the company is slowly introducing a 5-inch Android smartphone around the world.

It started in Japan with the launch of the HTC J Butterfly before heading to the US as the Droid DNA, but there are still plenty of countries still to get the phone, including the UK.

HTC has now quietly added the HTC Butterfly to its website, dropping the "J" in the name.

The specs look identical to the Droid DNA, mainly in that you get a 5-inch 1080 full-HD display and quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor from Qualcomm.

There's an 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of storage, and 2GB RAM. This Android is no slouch.

HTC in the UK has told Pocket-lint that this version isn't destined for the UK. It looks like British fans keen on a 5-inch Android "super" phone from HTC will have to wait a little longer for an announcement.
