Some so-called "leaks" are in fact viral marketing ploys meant to get people excited about upcoming products. Two freshly leaked "hands-on videos" of the Honor Magic 2 come to mind, since one of the videos essentially show the phone being repeatedly slammed against a desk and slid open.

In the first video (below via Slashleaks), we can see a person (who is reportedly singer Jiacheng Wu) demonstrating how the Magic 2 works as a slider phone. For instance, you can see him slide the phone's screen downward with his thumb to reveal the front cameras at the top. This same action is then shown off in a second, more up-beat video from Honor's TikTok channel (above via Tech News).

TikTok is used by creators to make short video clips, including musical videos. So, of course, Honor's "leaked" video shows its Magic 2 phone being aggressively knocked against a table and slid open many times - all to a catchy tune.

But that's not all, the back of the phone "leaked out" again in a photo posted by Chinese actress Zanilia Zhao. Billed as a "debut premium edition", we can see the Magic 2 has a red and purple gradient mirror finish. We can also clearly see the device's triple camera on the back, which reminds us of Huawei's P20 Pro, but with the LED flash moved from the bottom to the top.

Another "leaked' photo focuses on Honor's Yoyo voice assistant, which will likely be limited to China. If we had to guess, these videos and photos aren't really leaks. But they're certainly fun.
