Orange has announced that it will be making up to 20 meg download speeds a standard across all its home broadband packages - where such service is available.

As well as introducing the new speeds, Orange has revamped its home broadband packages with the cheapest option now coming in at £7 a month for Orange mobile customers.

There are now four price plans to choose from - Home Starter, Select, Max and Ultra.

Pricing for those that are not Orange mobile customers comes in at £10, £12, £20 and £24 a month and all are 18-month contracts with unlimited download usage allowance.

The higher priced packages offer some landline calls bundled in while the Ultra sees Orange's "Livebox" router supplied as part of the price.
