Orange is hoping to tempt new customers to its 3G services with a number of initiatives aimed at couples. The operator is introducing three offers in total; Buy one get one free, Try 3G and Test Drive.
New customers can Test Drive the Orange 3G service by trying Orange's range of phones and services for a week. Customers simply need to pay a deposit equal to the handset value plus £4 to access 4mb of data, 15 minutes of video calls; additional voice calls and download charges will be payable at the end of the week. If they wish to continue using 3G they need to take trial handset back to the shop and exchange it for a new one, transfer their contacts to the new phone and set up a permanent pay monthly SIM. They will receive their deposit back.
The Try 3G is aimed at then giving new customers an attempt at trying the new service. Customers who sign up for a standard twelve month contract on a 3G tariff with receive three months worth of free data (up to 1000Mb) and 30 minutes of free video calls in the UK. Additionally customers will also get three free music tracks to download before the end of May.
Furthermore for a limited period Orange is offering two handsets for the price of one on its £25 or more monthly subscription plans. Within the subscription you get 120 minutes of call times plus for the first three months the Try 3G offer. The offer ends at the end of April.
