Phones4u will be launching its own network known as Life Mobile in March, bringing value tariffs and services, including 4G.

The new MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) will run on EE, the UK's first network to offer 4G in the UK, allowing Life Mobile to benefit from the scale of the network formed in 2012 from the amalgamation of Orange and T-Mobile.

We're still waiting on the full details of what Life Mobile will offer, but we're told the aim is to have a variety of tariffs at attractive prices and that the new mobile offering will be sold alongside the existing networks available though Phones4u.

"By choosing the EE network, Phones4u will guarantee its customers access to the UK's widest 3G coverage, as well as the UK's only 4G network later in 2013," said Marc Overton, VP of wholesale and M2M at EE.

The Life Mobile network will initially offer 3G services and will be available through any Phones4u store, including those stores-in-stores at Dixons, Currys and PC World, as well as online and over the phone.

We'll update with all the details of prices and devices from the Life Mobile Phones4u network when they are announced.
