Orange has revealed the latest addition to the affordable mobile market in the shape of the Hollywood, a handset that features both a Qwerty keyboard and a touchscreen.

What is it with Orange? They love their American locations. First there was the San Francisco, then the San Diego and now the Hollywood. However, whereas the previous two ran Android, the Orange Hollywood is very much a back-to-basics offering.

Weighing just 95g, the Orange Hollywood’s touchscreen measures 2.4-inches, which can be used to access various preloaded social network feeds including Twitter and Facebook. Flip the phone over and you’ll find a 3.2-megapixel camera, though there’s no mention of any flash.

In terms of browsing the web, you’ll be limited to doing so either via Wi-Fi or up to EDGE data speeds. The battery life is also fairly limited with a talktime of just 210 minutes.

No word on pricing, or availability – Orange’s website states, “coming soon” – but expect this handset to come in around the £50 mark.
