More photos of the Asus Zenfone 6 have appeared online, repeating much of what we saw last week, including a top-right corner notch.

Photos posted on Italian website HDBlog.it show the Zenfone 6 with a notch that's not located in the top centre of the display but rather the top right. While the notch itself is of the waterdrop style, and therefore relatively small, its off-centre position is off-putting, we feel. We've already seen this design in another batch of leaked images, and to be honest, we're still not used to it.

Just remember this Zenfone 6 shouldn't be confused with the same-named phone released in 2014. That was a budget handset because it featured a 6-inch HD display and was part of a line-up that included 4- and 5-inch devices, too.

Anyway, apart from the notch, in this latest Zenfone 6 leak, we can see three rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The last Zenfone, the Zenfone 5, had dual 12-megapixel rear cameras. Design-wise, we thought the Zenfone 5's iPhone X-like exterior was generally a success, yet small quirks such as the fingerprint scanner's high position and so-so software experience held it back.

Overall, the Zenfone 5 was a solid backbone mid-price smartphone. As for the Zenfone 6, if it chooses to keep the top-right notch, we suspect it'll have to really blow our minds in the performance department to keep us from disliking it.

We'll bring you more information when we have it.
