We knew Acer was going to expand its Android offering and here we have the beTouch E400. If Android isn't your thing, you can always opt for the neoTouch P400 as they look the same.

The beTouch E400 comes with Android 2.1 and a customisable interface similar to what we saw on the Liquid.

It measures 115 x 59.3 x 12mm and weighs in at 125g. In terms of Acer's line-up it sits below the Liquid, or its update the Liquid e, and above the beTouch E110.

With that in mind the specs are paired back a little, offering a Qualcomm 7227 processor running at 600MHz, a 3.2-inch HVGA display and a 3.2-megapixel camera around the back.

That glowing ring around the home button will also flash different colours to let you know the status of the phone, like if you have missed a call or need to charge the battery.

Unfortunately we couldn't get our hands on an E400 without the epic security system, but rest assured, your retail handset won't look like it's in intensive care.
