The Carphone Warehouse has inked a deal with Reporo, a company that offers free texting and other services to its members, to launch a new Java-based service called MyMobileLife.

It offers a wide range of free services, including IM and chat through your mobile using MSN, Yahoo, Google, and AOL, as well as news from the BBC and Press Association. As soon as you power up MyMobileLife, you can check who’s online and chat for free.

A premium service costing £10 a year also offers near real time football results to cover all UK leagues, internationals, the UEFA Cup and European Chamionship. In addition, you can shop only through participating retailers like CDWow! and Lastminute.com.

The Carphone Warehouse plans to offer more services in the future, and add support for top-up, banking, and cinema ticket purchases.

Although most content and services are free, you do still have to pay the GPRS charges for data connection.

To register for MyMobileLife, you can text “Life” to 81444, or visit mymobilelife.com.
