ROK TV has introduced a new service whereby television channels can be wirelessly streamed to your mobile device from any Wi-Fi hotspot.
This means that you won't incur any internet browsing charges from your mobile service provider.
At the moment, the service is only offered for the 12 Microsoft-based mobile devices that are supported by ROK TV, which is extending its service to all Microsoft-based smartphones in the near future.
Bruce Renny of ROK TV explains that this new service represents an early foray between the internet and mobile TV.
ROK TV offers 13 channels, including ITN, CNN, and National Geographic Channel, each of which cost 99 pence for a one month subscription.
At the moment, ROK TV is not available on 3, Virgin, and O2 pay as you go.
