Fujitsu Siemens is hoping to keep up its fight against HP and Palm with a upgrade to its LOOX 700 model.
The company has announced a new version of its PDA range that is claiming to be the lightest handheld on the market.
The new Pocket LOOX C550 weights only 160g and is the successor to the Pocket LOOX 700.
The device will feature wireless LAN, IrDA and Bluetooth interfaces. The device will also run the new Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Premium Edition and therefore benefit from Microsoft's new Push Email imitative.
Other highlights include an Intel PXA270 processor, a SD I/O / MMC slot for additional data storage and applications, and an illuminated keypad that should make the keypad easier to use outdoors.
The new model will become available as of mid-March for prices starting at £290
