'Ello, 'ello, 'ello, what have we got here then? Playmobil is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year launching a number of new special-edition products, including the Remote Control Police Car with Camera.

Although the name is far from catchy, the police car itself is exciting, featuring a camera in the passenger seat which records what's going on, as well a remote control, so you can drive your police officer to where all the action is.

Once switched on it will record what is happening and display it on the hand-held monitor. The set comes with a lead that allows you to connect it up to your computer and download your recordings on to it. The camera can be removed easily by lifting off the roof of the car, in case you need to carry a passenger instead.

Perhaps being spied on by a remote-controlled police car in the hands of your child is not the most thrilling of prospects, but you have to admit, it's pretty clever. The camera captures in colour and the response time is good, from what we saw during our short time playing with it at the Toy Fair 2014 in London.

The car also comes with the essential police accessories including a pistol, flashlight and what appears to be a speed gun.

The Remote Control Police Car with Camera is available now and will cost £139.99. Perhaps you can recoup some of the cost by fining speeding children.
