Remote controlled cars that you don't control via your mobile phone are so yesterday, well that's seemingly what Griffin thinks, launching a Bluetooth RC that you control via your iPhone or iPod touch.

Called Moto TC Rally, the $99 RC connects to your iOS device via Bluetooth LE meaning you don't need to have a dedicated dongle for it to work.

The accompanying app works either in the traditional fingers on the screen way or by tilting to control the car - the latter of which was certainly harder to do.

To make things a little more interesting, the speedy little car features a couple of sensors in the bumpers that affects the way the car works, especially if you've got a head to head race with another mate.

Drivers can race in one of two ways: race the clock or bump 'n run. The former uses the included race counter (a strip you have to drive over) while the latter plays on those sensors we've mentioned above. With different attack options like slowing down your opponent's car or flipping their steering controls, it looks like great fun.

Sadly, that fun will only last you 20 minutes before you have to plug the Moto TC Rally car back in again and then even more soul destroying you'll have to wait 90-120 minutes before you are up and running again.

That could be enough of a downer to warrant this cool fun toy sadly null and void before it even leaves the shelf.
