Apple has released two new versions of the MacBook Pro laptop at its "Unleashed" event that will sit alongside the company's current 13-inch M1 powered MacBook Pro.

The two new models will come in two new sizes: 16-inch and 14-inch, and rewinds the clock on many features that have been removed over the years.

The new 2021 MacBook Pro range will ditch the Touch Bar, add a HDMI socket and an SDXC card reader, and see the return of the MagSafe charging adapter alongside three USB-C Thunderbolt sockets.

The new MacBook Pro will also introduce a notch at the top of the display, similar to the iPhone, in an attempt to get more screen real estate in a device that is still portable. The 16-inch model will come with a 16.2-inch display, but will still come in a similar sized casing to the previous MacBook Pro 16-inch model, while the 14-inch model gets a 14.2-inch display in a similar size to the old 13-inch model.
