Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's reveal has finally happened, with Activision taking the wraps off the game at last.

The first trailer is a bombastic affair, as is standard for Call of Duty, and gives a rapid tour of some locations that the campaign will seemingly take us through.

It showcases quick cuts between scenes featuring Captain Price, Soap and Gav along with the iconic Ghost, as they navigate what's clearly a major threat.

We can see a few night-time missions with the series' famous night-vision lighting looking gorgeous once again (as it did in 2019's Modern Warfare), and glimpses of new characters as well.

The reveal coincided with an embargo for a bunch of streamers and content creators who are also now spilling details on what you can expect from the game.

This includes the fact that swimming is a huge part of gameplay, along with much-improved enemy AI to make for more challenging fights. The detail in gun tweaking is taken to even greater heights, while the game will also be followed up by a Warzone 2.0 later this year.
