(Pocket-lint) - Just because you own a laptop doesn’t mean that you want to carry it around with you every day.

Even if you just move it around the house it pays to have it stored away in a protective slipcase.

Available in a range of different bright colours, so there is no fears of miss placing your notebook, there are currently three sizes on offer, 12-, 15- and 17-inch.

As the name of the company suggests, NY Built is American and they make a range of slipcases for everything from MP3 players to notebooks.

This is a great slip that is contoured in the middle, so when you slide your notebook into it, the case stretches and holds your portable safe and sound. It’s constructed from Neoprene, which is the same stuff used for making wetsuits but don’t be put off as is has been mixed with polyester, so is firm and more importantly, doesn’t feel nasty to the touch.

Most slipcases have a single robust zip that opens the case on three sides so you can easily get at your portable.

This isn’t the case here as you’ll find twin zips that only open one end.

This can be a bit of a pain, as you need to take the case out of your carry case to get at your notebook, instead of just pulling the portable right out of the bag.

At £30 (inc. VAT) it’s not the cheapest of slipcases but if you’re looking for a little flair and style, this has it in abundance.
