Toshiba has launched a range of wireless n ready laptops in the US today. The new Satellite A205 will feature Intel's new Wireless Wi-Fi Link 4965AGN technology as well as sporting a built-in webcam.
The laptops will also offer Labelflash, a technology that works in a similar way to HP's Lightscribe that allows users to burn images and text onto special Labelflash DVD-R discs.
For increased functionality and optimal storage capacity, Toshiba offers the Satellite A205-S4639, which features two Serial-ATA hard disk drives3 totalling 280GB. This model also features the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 graphics4 card for displaying your digital media in vivid clarity as well as increasing overall performance and battery life. The notebook has an estimated single unit price of $1549.99 in the US.
Toshiba also offers the value-packed Satellite A205-S4577 with a 160GB hard disk drive for a price point that’s less than $1000.
A fingerprint reader is included on the Satellite A205-S4617 and the Satellite A205-S4639.
Toshiba also announced the launch of the Satellite P205, the company’s first sub-$1000 laptop with 17-inch screen.
The P205, a notebook computer line comes standard with Labelflash and a built-in webcam. Toshiba also offers select models featuring Intel’s new Wireless Wi-Fi Link 4965AGN supporting draft 802.11n wireless connectivity.
